What boiler noises are you hearing?
The most common noise complaint with Baxi 800, 600, and Duo-tec combi ranges is 'kettling'. This distinct sound, similar to a boiling kettle, often points to limescale accumulation within the heat exchanger. Scale acts as an insulator, causing localized overheating of the water. Other noises might be a rattling from the fan if it's worn, or a gurgling from air in the system or restricted flow. Pinpointing the exact sound helps diagnose whether it's a circulation problem, a failing component like an NTC sensor, or a scale issue directly impacting the heat exchanger.
