The 'Only One Shower' Illusion
Many customers, especially those with 1950s semis towards Bryn, assume one bathroom means a combi is ideal. This is often true for single occupancy. However, if two people regularly need hot water at the same time – say, a shower and someone washing up – a combi's flow rate can struggle. The hot water will either run cold or the pressure drops significantly. It’s a common complaint when the morning rush hour hits, and a system boiler would have comfortably managed the demand.
- Combi: best for 1-3 occupants, 1-2 bathrooms.
- System: better for 2+ bathrooms, multiple users.
- Regret: Underestimating simultaneous hot water needs.
