Why Your Worcester Bosch Hot Water is Failing
The most frequent reasons for a Worcester Bosch combi boiler to struggle with hot water are often mechanical wear. For older Greenstar i/CDi models, we commonly see issues with the diverter valve. This valve is responsible for directing hot water to either your taps or your heating system. When it starts to stick or wear out, it can send heat to your radiators when you've opened a hot tap, or only partially open to the hot water circuit, leading to lukewarm or no hot water. Newer models have different mechanisms but can still develop similar issues.
- Diverter valve wear (CDi models)
- Sticking 3-way actuator
- Internal pressure loss
