The short version
- Gas appliances in commercial premises must be maintained in a safe condition
- Planned visits outside trading hours reduce disruption
- Records support insurance, inspections and duty-of-care evidence
- Small commercial premises often run domestic-type appliances under commercial obligations
What a commercial service visit covers
Broadly the same technical checks as domestic, but with more emphasis on ventilation, documentation and continuity.
- Combustion analysis and safety device testing on each appliance
- Ventilation adequacy for the plant space
- Gas tightness testing on the installation
- Controls, time clocks and frost protection
- Written record for the premises file
Minimising downtime
We schedule around trading hours where possible and agree in advance what happens if something fails the check — including whether an appliance can stay in service with a documented advisory, or must be isolated.
Which premises we suit
Small offices, shops, salons, cafés, community buildings and similar light-commercial premises running domestic-type or small commercial gas appliances. For large plant rooms we'd tell you plainly if it needs a specialist commercial contractor instead.
