Common Case: Maximising Efficiency with Uprated Radiators
For most installations, the goal is to achieve comfort at the lowest possible flow temperature from your heat pump. This is where radiator upgrades play a direct role. By increasing the surface area of your emitters – often swapping a Type-11 panel for a Type-22 or Type-21 – we can transfer more heat into the room at a lower flow temperature. This lower flow temperature is the single biggest driver of heat pump efficiency and, therefore, reduced running costs. We recalculate each radiator's output based on these new, lower flow temperatures, ensuring adequate warmth without forcing the heat pump to work harder than necessary.
- Lower flow temperature, lower running cost
- Type-11s often become Type-22s
- Direct impact on heat pump COP
