What paperwork do you actually need for an HMO?
After our inspection, you'll receive a Gas Safety Record (CP12) in PDF format. This is your primary document proving compliance. It details all inspected gas appliances, their condition, and any remedial actions. For HMOs, it's crucial to have this readily available, not just for your own records, but for tenants and any official requests. Unlike a standard single-let property, an HMO often means more appliances, sometimes one per flat or room, all requiring individual assessment within the same certificate. This certificate covers all gas appliances in shared and private areas.
