Diagnosing Vaillant Boiler Kettling and Circulation Issues
The distinct kettling noise from a Vaillant boiler, whether an ecoTEC Plus or Pro, points directly to localized overheating. This happens when water boils prematurely due to scale accumulation on the heat exchanger's internal surfaces. This scale acts as an insulator, preventing efficient heat transfer and leading to hotspots. We specifically look for associated faults like F.75 (pump/pressure sensor) or F.22 (low water content) which can be secondary effects of poor circulation or blockages caused by scale. Our diagnostic process includes checking system pressure, flow rates, and the condition of the circulating pump, as well as inspecting the heat exchanger directly if necessary. We carry Vaillant pressure sensors and pumps for immediate testing.
- Identifies premature boiling due to scale.
- Checks for F.22, F.75 fault codes.
- Assesses system pressure and flow rates.
