Book before 12pm today — same-day callouts still available in Wigan

The short version

  • Water and gas go off for part of the day, not all of it
  • Dust sheets and floor protection are standard, not an extra
  • Commissioning and registration are part of the job, not paperwork we post later
  • You get a handover on controls before we leave

The running order

A like-for-like combi swap typically runs like this.

  • Arrival, protection down, isolate gas, water and power
  • Drain the system and remove the old appliance and flue
  • Fit brackets, hang the new boiler, adapt pipework and flue
  • Fit the system filter and any new controls
  • Refill, chemically clean or flush as specified, then dose inhibitor
  • Gas soundness test, flue gas analysis and full commissioning
  • Building Regulations notification and manufacturer warranty registration
  • Controls handover, paperwork and clean-up

What we need from you

Parking near the property, access to the stopcock and gas meter, and somewhere to work. If the boiler is in a bedroom or loft, a clear route in and out saves an hour of careful shuffling.

Heating and hot water while we work

You'll be without heating and hot water for the working part of the day. We aim to have you back on the same evening on a standard swap; conversions from a cylinder system are more likely to run into a second day, and we'll tell you that before booking.

Common questions

Do I need to be home all day?+

Someone needs to be there at the start and for handover at the end.

Will you take the old boiler away?+

Yes, removal and disposal are included.

Do you notify Building Control?+

Yes — Gas Safe registration covers the Building Regulations notification and you receive the certificate.

What if something unexpected turns up?+

We stop, explain it, and agree the change with you before continuing.
