Decision: When to Repair Your Baxi
For Baxi 800, 600, or Duo-tec combi ranges, certain faults, particularly E119 (low pressure) or E133 (ignition failure), can often be addressed directly without needing a full replacement. We commonly carry Baxi fans, NTC sensors, PRVs (pressure relief valves), and expansion vessels. If the issue is isolated to one of these components, and your boiler's heat exchanger is in good condition, a repair can provide several more years of reliable service. This is often the case for boilers installed in the generous 1950s semis towards Bryn, where original systems may have been robust.
- Single component failure (e.g., NTC sensor)
- Heat exchanger is sound and leak-free
- Current parts readily available
- Boiler less than 10-12 years old
