Deciding When to Check Yourself (and When Not To)
It's important to understand the limits of DIY checks. You should only proceed if you're comfortable with basic tasks, have no visible leaks, and the system isn't under any unusual pressure or making concerning noises. If you're unsure, or if your boiler pressure gauge is fluctuating wildly, or if there's any sign of a leak, stop and call us immediately. Your safety, and the integrity of your heating system, come first.
- Only proceed if no leaks are present.
- Do not check if boiler pressure is unstable.
- Avoid if system is making unusual noises.
- Call an engineer for any safety concerns.
